At Rapt Studio, we're dedicated to fostering connection and curiosity within our community. With this in mind, we launched ART [HERE], a call to action to reimagine the visual narrative of our Culver City studio's exterior.
The expansive wall at 8970 Washington Blvd. is not just a canvas—it's the gateway to a thriving arts community marked by growth, transition, and creativity.
This prominent space engages busy pedestrians, neighbors out with their children and pets, and commuters flowing through Culver City, sparking a dialogue between art and the everyday. We're excited to continue this recurring platform for local artists to showcase their talent, reinforcing our desire to enrich the environment and celebrate the vibrant community around us.
Adrian Kay Wong
Adrian Kay Wong (b. 1991) is an artist based in Los Angeles. He was born and raised in the east San Francisco Bay area and received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013.
Wong’s subtle narratives of the mundane moments of everyday life, are interwoven with personal stories, memories, and cultural identity. Through attentive and carefully measured compositions, his paintings hold coexisting dualities of our daily experiences - notions like connection and isolation, belonging and solitude, love and loss - in a still silence. There, under the veneer of light casts, rich shadows, and vibrant yet nuanced palettes, Wong navigates the boundaries between abstraction and representation, artifice and reality, ethereal and visceral.
